At Tarkington Home Inspections we are dedicated to providing thorough quality inspections, excellent customer service and clear reports.

We were trained through Building Specs, Inc.

We believe in continuing education. By attending monthly seminars and conferences we keep up with the latest changes in the building industry.

We are fully insured, carrying both Errors & Omissions and Liability insurance through ALIA.

Community involvement is an important philosophy at our company. Following that belief in the past few years we have:

Serving your residential real estate inspection needs in Alameda County and greater East Bay area.

Our inspection report was designed and used by numerous home inspectors in Alameda County.  It addresses concerns specific to the Bay Area, not a national inspection checklist!  From the 100 year old Victorian with a brick foundation to today’s synthetic siding – it’s all in there and updated.

We provide valuable services for both home buyers and sellers.  Whether you’re concerned with repairs before listing your home or hidden conditions in your soon to be investment, we can help.  Our reports are clearly organized, digital photo ready and accessible from our website.

Our inspection includes a visual examination of the attic, grading, foundation, exterior surfaces, roofing, garage, chimney, living areas, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and water heater.  The inspector operates components and systems using normal controls, as conditions permit.

Inspections can be scheduled 7 days a week.

What This Privacy Policy Covers

This policy covers how Tarkington Home Inspections treats personal information that we receive, including information related to your past use of Tarkington Home Inspections services. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

Information Collection and Use

Tarkington Home Inspections collects personal information only when you schedule an inspection. When using the web form to schedule an inspection, all information collected is sent to our office. The information will be removed from the email servers at a later date. The personal information is stored in our records for a period of time, as specified by law.

Tarkington Home Inspections automatically receives and records information on our web host's server logs from your browser, including your IP address, and the pages you request.

Tarkington Home Inspections uses information to schedule a property inspection, contact you when concerns arise before or after the inspection, and for delivery of the final report, whether by email or the US postal service.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Tarkington Home Inspections does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or companies except to provide services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstance:
